VFW National Commander in Chief to visit local VFW Post 5837 August 15, 2018

Vincent “B.J.” Lawrence Lawrence was elected Commander-in-Chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. on July 25, 2018, at the 119th VFW National Convention in Kansas City, Mo.

B.J. served with the United States Army from 1983 to 1986, earning his VFW eligibility by serving in Korea, where he earned the Korean Defense Service Medal.

 

With nearly 1. million VFW and Auxiliary members in 6,400 chapters around the world, the VFW provides vital assistance and support for America’s service members, veterans and their families.

Commander Lawrence is making Kentucky his first official visit. It is an honor for him to choose our post for an official visit. Dept of KY Commander Robert “Doc” Daugherty and his line officers will be with him. If you have concerns and would like to meet the people that can help you, please attend.

The Local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5837 and Auxiliary will host a dinner and reception for Commander Lawrence at 6 PM. We invite the community and all members to come and show him Butler County hospitality.
