Veterans' groups place wreaths at Duncan, Quality cemeteries

On Saturday, December 17, the veterans appreciation organization, Wreaths Across America, placed wreaths on the graves of Butler County veterans buried in Duncan Cemetery and the Quality Church of Christ Cemetery. The Butler County High Navy ROTC under the Command of Commander Harry Phelps and Chief Jim Melton provided the Honor Guard and Taps at the ceremonies. Navy Commander Harry Phelps placed the wreaths on the graves of the Veterans.




Seven Veterans were honored at Duncan Cemetery. They were Morris McReynolds, Edward Harold Woodall, Charles Wardell, Boyd Fuller, Lee Fuller, Darrell Fuller, and Joe Fuller. Twelve veterans were honored at the Quality Church of Christ Cemetery. They were James Forgy, Claud Forgy, Uriel Forgy, Toby Forgy, Paul Askew, Earl Escue, Lee Roy Anderson, Joseph Ward Jr., Maurice Price, Larry Price, George Thomas Fuller, and Louie Moore. Children related to the veterans helped Commander Phelps place the wreaths. Wreaths across America lay wreaths on the graves of Veterans throughout the United States each Christmas.
