Vehicle hits Morgantown Bank & Trust Branch

UPDATED STORY:

On Monday morning, January 4, officers with the Morgantown Police Department, along with other emergency personnel, responded to Morgantown Bank & Trust located on Veterans Way in reference to a vehicle that had driven into the building.  The operator of the vehicle was 41-year-old John Muth.  Through an investigation of the accident, it appears Muth was pulling into a parking space when he drove over a small concrete barrier before hitting the outside of the building creating a large opening. Muth was discovered to be operating the vehicle on a suspended license and he was issued a citation for the offense.

Amber Smith, an employee of Morgantown Bank & Trust inside the building at the time, was injured and soon after transported to the hospital by EMS.  She was thereafter released with only minor injuries.
