Update: Suspect in Custody-Home Burglary on Brownsville Road

Update: January 24, 2019- -The suspect is in custody and lodged in the Butler County Jail.  He is charged with burglary, first degree.  Caleb Dunn, 25, of Edmonson County, was arrested on January 24th at 490 Wolf Dam Road in Mammoth Cave, Kentucky.  Butler County Sheriff's Deputy Joe Alford received an anonymous tip concerning the vehicle involved in the burglary. The homeowners, Elwood and Diane Dyer, were able to give law enforcement a partial license plate number. After an extensive investigation by Butler County Sheriff's Deputy Chris Reneer,  KSP Trooper Terry Alexander, and the Edmonson County Sheriff's Department. the connection between Dunn and the vehicle was made.   Positive identification was made by the homeowners.  
Dunn had been arrested in Edmonson County on January 19, 2019, and was charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, and several other charges.  He was released on a $1,000 security bond on January 20, 2019.  
It appears that Dunn may stopped at other off-the-road houses in Butler County on the same day asking for gas money whenever he found someone at home.
Dunn's bond on the current charge has been set at $10,000 cash.

Orginial Story

On Tuesday afternoon, January 22, at approximately 3:30 p.m. a home on Brownsville Road was burglarized.  The suspect is a white male, maybe early 30s, short hair with tattoos on his neck and arms.  He was wearing a grey sweatshirt and jeans. He kicked the door in and was walking off the porch with a large screen television in hand when confronted by the homeowner.  A scuffle ensued and the suspect escaped by driving over an embankment.  He headed east on KY 70 toward Edmonson County.  He was driving a black SUV with dark tinted windows.
