United Way’s Day of Caring is Wednesday, July 29, 2015.  Kiana Coleman, of Morgantown, has organized a Senior Residents Visiting Day at Morgantown Care and Rehab. According to Coleman there are several residents that have very few if any visitors. 

“What better way to show residents at MCRC we care about them than to spend some time visiting with them,” said Coleman. 

Any number of volunteers are needed to complete this indoor project on Wednesday at the Morgantown Care and Rehabilitation Center anytime from 10am – 11:30am and/or 1:00pm – 2:30pm for as little or as long as the volunteers would like. Volunteers are needed to visit with the senior residents at the center. It is completely up to each individual and group of volunteers as to how they would like to spend their time with the seniors. Volunteers can assist with anything from simply visiting with the seniors in their rooms perhaps reading The Bible to a group of volunteers arranging a Bingo tournament or choral presentation. Volunteers will need to coordinate any efforts ahead of the Day of Caring in order for best preparation and to ensure that all planned activities are approved.
