The Bowling Green - Warren County Drug Task Force and Kentucky State Police have arrested: 

Pacheco Alan Esquivel of 126 Logan Hunt Road, Morgantown, KY previously from 1513 Victoria Drive, Modesto, CA, Age 22 (Mexican National)

Charged with:

Trafficking in Marijuana over 5lbs, Class C Felony

 Benjamin Alexis Alicea of 126 Logan Hunt Road, Morgantown, KY Age 39

Charged with:

 Trafficking in Marijuana over 5lbs, Class C Felony

 Detectives with the Drug Task Force were able to obtain a search warrant though surveillance and investigation. The warrant was executed by the Kentucky State Police Interdiction Unit at 7:00 PM December 13, 2023 at the accused residence in Butler County. 

 Detectives and Troopers located the two accused inside the residence with approximately with 40 pounds of marijuana. Both accused were arrested in the residence without resistance following the search. The marijuana, a 9MM Semi Auto Hand Gun and $2,652 in cash was seized. 

Pacheco Alan Esquivel was previously arrested August 16, 2023 at a rented AirBNB located in the 100 block of East 13th Avenue in the limits of Bowling Green for Trafficking in Marijuana over 5lbs, Class C Felony. He and another Mexican National had 30 pounds of marijuana in their apartment in Bowling Green when previously arrested.  He was indicted in Warren County in October and remains free after posting a $6,000 bond. Due to no criminal record in this country at the time he was arrested in August he was not deported.  It appears he moved his activities to Butler County.

Detectives continue the investigation as to the source of marijuana and individual from Mexico trafficking marijuana in Bowling Green and Butler County.

Both accused were lodged in the Butler County Jail pending arraignment in Butler District Court.
