Traffic stop leads to seizure of drugs, cash, and gun

The Butler County Sheriff Department conducted a traffic stop on Brownsville Road this past weekend that resulted in the seizure of drugs, firearm, and money.
Deputies Ronald Cox and Talon Gary detained the vehicle for failure to come to a complete stop at a stop sign. The owner of the car, Tayann McKenna, identified the passengers sd Jerry St. Clair, Steven Cardwell, and Sydnee Cameron.
St. Clair had an active warrant on file. He was arrested and $500 cash was found during a personal search. McKenna permitted the vehicle to be searched. During the search, digital scales, 11.45grams of marijuana, a .25 caliber handgun with ammunition, a significant amount of cash, a clear bag with suspected methamphetamine, clear sandwich bags, and what appeared to be a considerable amount of synthetic marijuana were found.
Inside Cameron's purse was a clear bag with suspected methamphetamine and $3,000 in cash. Cardwell was the driver of the vehicle but had a suspended license. All subjects denied ownership of the scales, handgun, and ammunition.
All four were arrested and lodged in the Butler County Jail.
Deputy Joe Alford and Morgantown Police Officer Paul Evans also responded.
