Tractor-Trailer Accident Shuts Down Natcher

The southbound lane of the Natcher Parkway was shut down for most of Tuesday due to a tractor-trailer accident.  According to witnesses the truck went over into the median, then overcorrected causing the truck to flip.  According to the Butler County Sheriff's Department driver fatique was a factor in the accident. The driver of the truck, Jeffrey Terry of Beattyville, Kentucky, was not injured. 

The Schneider Nationals, Inc., truck was hauling a refrigerated Wal-Mart trailer containing meat. The contents of the truck had to be loaded into another truck provided by Ingram Trucking. The Butler County Jail Crew and residents of Andrea's Mission for Men assisted in the clean up. C & L Wrecker Service recovered the tractor-trailer. The accident blocked both lanes near the 28 mile marker.

Responding were: Butler County EMS, Rescue Squad, Fire Department, Health Department, EPA,  State Highway Department of Transportation, Emergency Management Director Terry Hunt,  and Sheriff Deputy Heath West.
