Toys For Tots Serves 392 Butler County Children

The Butler County Family Resource, the Youth Services Centers, and the Morgantown Mission teamed up for Butler County Christmas Toys for Tots on Friday. Volunteers came out in full force to help sort toys, wrap gifts, help carry packages, park cars, hand out numbers, and help families shop for gifts.

According to Daisy Bishop they served 161 families that include 392 children in Butler County. Applications from in county residents only were accepted.
“We try to help families in need so children will have a better Christmas. Several groups, companies, and individuals donated money and /or toys this year. Fourteen families were adopted by business, companies or other families,” said Bishop.

Although several individuals work to put the event together, the efforts of Daisy Bishop, Karla Coles, Patty Glass and Garry McKinney were noted by many.
