Over 77k donated items benefitted almost 11k children in 2021
Children in Adair, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, Logan, Metcalfe, Monroe, Simpson and Warren counties enjoyed a brighter Christmas season thanks to the efforts of Toys for Tots of Southern Kentucky. Both toy and monetary donations were collected.
The local Marine Corps League and the volunteers announced that 77,623 toys/books/stocking suffers were donated and/or purchased for 10,998 children in 2021.
"The generosity shown to less fortunate children, and especially the families impacted by the tornado in Warren County, delivered a message of Hope, Joy, and Love to those in need," said Janel Doyle, Southern Kentucky Toys for Tots Regional Director. "There
there are truly no words that can convey the positive impact this type of generosity from concerned citizens and businesses had on the local children at Christmas. Thank you all for making Christmas merry for so many. God Bless Each of You and Semper Fi!"
Locally, Melissa Glass was the Butler County Program Director for Toys for Tots.
