MORGANTOWN — A high school soccer doubleheader is set to be held at Butler County High School on Thursday, Aug. 17. 

Butler County is scheduled to host Russellville for a non-district boys' soccer match at 5:30 p.m.

The Bears are 1-1 after suffering a shutout loss to Owensboro Catholic and edging Foundation Christian Academy. 

In a girls' soccer match slated for 7 p.m., Butler County and Grayson County are due to meet in an 11th District match.

The Lady Bears are 1-1 after defeating McLean County and dropping a match to Franklin-Simpson. 

The 2023 boys' and girls' high school soccer seasons opened across the state on Monday, Aug. 7.
