Tips lead to meth arrest on Brownsville Road

Tips, texts and social media have led to the arrest of a Morgantown man on multiple charges, including manufacturing methamphetamine.
Law enforcement officers with the Butler County Sheriff's Department and the Kentucky State Police received information that Jarrod W. Wilkerson was sending threatening text messages and had posted a photo of himself holding a firearm.  As a convicted felon, Wilkerson is not permitted to possess a firearm.  The individual allegedly being threatened by Wilkerson secured a warrant for his arrest on Friday, May 6.  Butler County Sheriff's Deputy Joe Alford and K.S.P. Trooper Josh Amos served the warrant at around 7 p.m. on Friday night at 10118 Brownsville Road, which is the residence of Wilkerson's parents.  After executing the arrest warrant, the homeowners agreed to allow law enforcement officers to search the home.  Officers found an inactive meth lab.

Jarrod Wilkerson is charged with manufacturing methamphetamine (2nd degree), possession of a hand gun by a convicted felon, and terroristic threatening (3rd degree).  He was lodged in the Butler County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond.
Deputy Heath West, Deputy Chris Reneer, and Morgantown Police Office James Embry assisted in the clean up of the lab.
