A Thanksgiving Message from Butler County Judge-Executive David Fields

As our community celebrates another Thanksgiving Day, I believe we have much to be thankful for in Butler County.  As a special day that is steeped in American tradition and history, Thanksgiving has always been a time for all of us to reflect on the many gifts we have been given by our Creator.  It is also an opportunity for our community to reach out to those in need.  Two recent events show how  Butler County people can come together to support a worthy cause.  Over $13,000 has been donated by Butler Countians over the past few weeks to help the Morgantown Mission and the local Boys and Girls Club.  Because many of you were willing to "step up" and help your neighbors in need and the children of Butler County, their holiday season will be a little brighter this year.  And, that's what the holiday season is all about - starting with Thanksgiving Day.

As Butler County Judge-Executive, I am proud of our community, the way we so readily help others, and I've always considered it to be one of my main jobs to build on this important foundation.  Whether it's our professional ambulance service serving those in need or our hard-working road department making sure the roads are safe, it remains my top priority that county government supportive of and responsive to the people of Butler County.

On behalf of the judge-executive's office and county government, I want to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving Day and wonderful holiday season.
