A Texas Feeling Rustic Furniture Store Now Open

The Main Street economy of downtown Morgantown got a boost recently with the opening of a new furniture store.  Brad and Tina Smart, residents of the Leonard Oak community, opened A Texas Feeling Rustic Furniture on Black Friday, November 25.

The Smarts were visiting friends in Texas when they first saw this type of furniture.  Mr. Smart said, “We bought a desk and a bar and brought it home and everyone who saw it, loved it.  There’s no furniture like this in this area.  So, we decided to try a business.  It’s been great.  Everybody has made us feel very welcome, and we’re happy to be here.”

The store has kitchen tables, kitchen bars, islands, poker tables, bedroom furniture, living room tables, dining room tables, and more.  According to Mr. Smart, “What’s in the store is just a small sample of what we can get.”  There is a catalog in the store of everything that can be ordered.  Smart said the business is listed as “A Texas Feeling” on Facebook, where you can also view the entire catalog.

Their future plans are to have a studio for HW Photography in the back of their store.

The store, located on Main Street in downtown Morgantown next to Hocker Family Insurance, is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.  They offer military discounts, volume discounts, and layaway.
