A Texas Feeling Rustic Furniture Receives Community Improvement Award

The Morgantown-Butler County Chamber of Commerce held its monthly luncheon on Thursday, June 28 at the Butler County Extension Service office. Chamber President Jamie Chaney welcomed all of those in attendance including the visitors. The meal was catered by the Banock Chapter Order of the Eastern Star 531.

Chaney presented the Community Improvement Award to A Texas Feeling Rustic Furniture owners Brad and Catena Smart. (pictured at the top). A Texas Feeling Rustic Furniture is located at 113 North Main Street, and they are open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Chamber sponsored the "Know Your Community" questions, and gave Catfish Festival buttons to the winners.

The 2012 Catfish Festival will be held July 4-7.  Fireworks will kick off the Festival on Wednesday, July 4th.

The guest speaker was Debra Hall, director of the Butler County Boys and Girls Club.

"At the Boys & Girls Club of Butler County, we serve with one purpose: to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible adults," said Hall.

The sponsors for the June luncheon were: Butler County Boys & Girls Club, Mayor Linda Keown, Quixote Press, Russell and Wendy Givens, Delta Faucet, KY Farm Bureau, Vacation Travel, Inc. and PBI Bank.
