An Ohio County teenager was killed in a one vehicle accident on Rochester Road Saturday evening.

According to the Ohio County Sheriff’s Department (OCSD), around 8:20 p.m. Saturday night, Ohio County 911 Dispatch Center received a call of a single vehicle accident in the 4400 block of Rochester Road. The OCSD, Beaver Dam Fire Department and Ohio County EMS responded to the scene.

The vehicle, a Dodge Caliber, driven by Zakary D. Embry, 17 of Beaver Dam, was north bound on Rochester Road when the car ran off the road and overturned several times. Zakary Embry was ejected from the vehicle.

Zakary Embry was transported by Ohio County EMS to the Ohio County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by Ohio County Deputy Coroner Jerry Bevil.

The passenger, Robert J. Embry, was restrained and suffered minor injuries for which he was transported by Ohio County EMS to the Ohio County Hospital for treatment.
