One man is behind bars after allegedly stealing and selling the car of a Morgantown Care and Rehab resident. David Allen Bowlds has been lodged in the Butler County Jail and is facing felony theft by unlawful taking charges.

The 1991 silver Chevy Lumina owned by Elzie Hoops was reported missing by his niece, who looks after his house on Dunbar Coal Road. Butler County Sheriff's Deputy Trey Flener traced the car and found that it had been sold at a recycling center in Ohio County. Bowlds was arrested by Flener on Monday afternoon.
