Even though it is summer and a long way from the start of basketball season, the Butler County Basketball Bears were in action this week at Russellville.  The Bears played summer varsity games against Russellville and Todd County Central.  The JV Bears squared off against Russellville and Monroe County.   

"It was a great competition, learning and fun for the Bears.  Several sophomores earned minutes playing varsity and several freshmen played significant JV minutes," said BCHS head coach Dustin Barnett.  "We are back in action Friday at Legacy Christian in Bowling Green for mor summer games."
