Stuff the Bus Event in Morgantown a Huge Success

"The Stuff the Van 2017 event is going into the books as our most successful supply drive yet.  We truly depend upon these donations to stock our centers and each student in Butler County schools benefits from the generosity of our community.  We are thankful to have local radio in Morgantown and 100% of their support in this endeavor.  The staff of Q101.5 was with us all day in the heat collecting supplies and donations.  We worked hard and managed to have a lot of fun while we did it," said Melissa Glass of the Butler County Family Resource Center.
The Youth Service Center, Family Resource Center, Morgantown Mission and WLBQ 101.5 partnered with Tony Rose of D93 to help collect back to school supplies and cash.  Vans were located at both Dollar General Market and Family Dollar to collect school supplies and cash donations, which total $1,000.

Local radio personalities Josh Hampton, Cody Donaldson and Brent Clark, were on hand for a live radio remote by WLBQ 101.5.  Volunteers from North Butler Elementary, Morgantown Elementary and the community volunteered their time to man the vans.

The supplies collected locally will be included with Tony Rose’s Stuff the Bus efforts in Bowling Green and then doubled and returned to Butler County.  Cash donated will be used to purchase additional school supplies that are still needed.

“It’s a great event, and we’re happy to be a part of it,” said Diane Dyer, of WLBQ.  “It once again shows how generous our community is when helping others.”
