Stolen Vehicle Found in Bowling Green

A stolen vehicle missing for three weeks has been recovered in Bowling Green.
According to Chief Billy Phelps of the Morgantown Police Department a white, 2004 Chevy Pickup stolen from Coleman Brothers Motors in Morgantown in November was found in Bowling Green late last week. The truck was abandoned undamaged in the parking lot of AFNI, near the Great Escape Greenwood Cinema in Bowling Green.
The vehicle was reported by AFNI officials after it sat unmoved in their parking lot for several days. When Bowling Green Police investigated the vehicle and ran the tags it came back as stolen. Morgantown PD was then contacted and the vehicle was recovered.
Chief  Phelps said that the truck was undamaged, which is rare in stolen vehicles. The truck was returned to Coleman Brothers early this week. Neither the Morgantown nor Bowling Green Police departments have any suspects. “Of course we would like to catch the people that did this, but at least the truck was found, and found in one piece,” said Phelps.
