Star Tek Recycling Expansion

Star Tek Recycling, the premiere recycling business serving Butler County has been in the process of expanding its service and location over the last year by constructing an enormous building on the former Dewayne Johnson lot.

The new 50,000 square foot facility will feature a very large warehousing area, along with a waiting area for customers and a modernized lobby. The building will serve customers with a drive-thru service that will eliminate the need for customers to even exit their vehicles during unloading.

The building has been developed to receive nearly all non-ferrous recycling items which will now include plastic, paper and cardboard in addition to all the standard items such as aluminum and copper. Star Tek Recycling is also making considerations to potentially accept glass as a recycling item as well.

The original scrap yard will remain in its current location, being used to purchase ferrous items such as entire cars and scrap metal. The ownership will remain the same with the same friendly faces there to assist customers. However, Star Tek Recycling hopes to add as many as 10 new friendly faces to its current staff by the end of 2013 with the addition of the new building.

The Star Tek indoor recycling facility is set to open for business on March 1st, 2013.

For any questions regarding what items will be purchased by the new or current facility, contact Star Tek Recycling at 526-5542.
