Sons of the American Revolution will host a wreath laying ceremony

The Charles Duncan Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution will host a wreath laying ceremony at 9:30 A.M., Saturday, December 7, at the Butler County Courthouse lawn near the memorial monuments. The event is on the anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, but will honor all those who served in all the wars. The American Legion Post 151 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5837 and the Ladies Auxiliary will participate in the event. Following a brief ceremony and laying of the wreath at the courthouse the groups will travel to Riverview and Bell Street cemeteries for the laying of a wreath and prayer at each cemetery. Butler County High School History Department head, Dennis Robbins, will present a brief tribute to those who honored.
The SAR group will travel to Bowling Green for a wreath laying ceremony at the Warren County courthouse beginning at 12:00 noon. Then to selected cemeteries in Bowling Green.
