MORGANTOWN — Butler County edged visiting Edmonson County 4-3 in an 11th District boys' soccer match on Tuesday, Aug. 29. 

Everson Padilla scored three goals and distributed one assist to lead Butler County to the 11th District win.

Contributing offensively for the Bears, Jose Gonzalez netted one goal and Noe Pablo dealt out one assist.

Defensively for Butler County, goalkeeper Landon Beatty recorded 20 saves while holding Edmonson County to three goals. 

Brayden Garrett (two goals), Josh Gates (one goal, one assist) and Julien Wilson (two assists) accounted for Edmonson County's offense in the 11th District match.

Defensively for Edmonson County, goalkeeper Adin Gates recorded 22 saves while allowing four goals. 

The Bears returned to the win column following back-to-back losses to Russellville and Muhlenberg County. 

Butler County is scheduled to visit Meade County for an 11th District match at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2.
