A Small Kentucky Business Makes News in Florida

The Sea Turtle was so life-like that it was mistaken for a real one.Parents was making sure their little ones did not get to close. They feared a turtle laying eggs could be dangerous.

A five-foot sea turtle sculpted in the sand on Amelia Island was created by artists Donna Brooks,(Providence,KY)  Jeanie Kittinger(Muhlenberg,KY) and Deb Barrett-Cuttle(Boston,MA) of Heart to Heart Publishing, Inc. of Morgantown, KY.

A group attending the,”Barefoot Poetry” on the beach, where the,”Sand Sculpting” class was held.

The publishing house was on the island celebrating their first Writer’s Retreat. The Butler County company is owned by Award-Winning Author, Linda J. Hawkins.

A  group of authors at a book-signing while on Amelia Island. The authors and artist were from Kentucky, Texas, Florida, Boston, MA, Tennessee and New York with attendees from various states.

The three day event included classes for: fiction, non-fiction work, poetry, sand-art, marketing and promotion, editing, panel discussions and over one-thousand dollars in prizes. For more pictures visit: Amelia Island Writer's Retreat
