Butler County Extension Agent for Family and Consumer Sciences Tracy M. Cowles is offering several classes in the next few weeks. 

FREE Heathier You Workshop Series – Starting September 11th

Join us for an upcoming Heathier You Series starting Monday, September 11th at the Butler County Extension Service at 5 p.m.  This workshop series will be a 16-week series that will meet every Monday at the Extension Office at 5 pm.  We will be working with the Barren River District Health Department and will discuss things like grocery shopping, meal planning, and physical activity.  We will set and meet goals for weight loss, learn to make lifestyle changes, have fun competitions and WIN PRIZES!

Didn’t make it Monday, Sept. 11th?  No problem!  You can actually join the workshop series through Sept. 25th!  Make plans to join us and bring a friend…or several!

FREE Washi Tape Clothespin Wreath – Sept. 14

Join us for an upcoming wreath making class scheduled for Thursday, September 14th at the Butler County Public Library at 10 a.m.  This event is co-sponsored by the Butler County Public Library and the Butler County Extension Service.

Create your own Washi Tape Clothespin wreath to take home!  There will be no charge to attend, but you will need to pre-register by calling the Extension Office at 270-526-3767 or the Library at 270-526-4722.
         

FREE Jelly Roll Quilt Class – Sept. 16th

Join us for our next Quilt Class, “Jelly Roll Quilt” on Saturday, September 16th at the Butler County Extension Office at 10 a.m.  Feel free to arrive a little earlier to set up. 

If you would like to attend this FREE class, call the Extension Office at 526-3767 to pre-register.  There is no charge for the class, but you will need to bring your sewing machine, sewing supplies, and 2 jelly rolls.
         
  
FREE Acrylic Painting Class at Extension Office – September 21st

Join us for an upcoming Acrylic Painting Class scheduled for Thursday, September 21st at the Butler County Extension Service at 10 a.m. and again at 5 p.m.

Create your replica of Cinnamon Cooney’s “Colorful Cow.”  There will be no charge to attend, but you will be responsible for providing your own supplies and canvas. This will be a step-by-step painting process that both beginners and experienced painters can enjoy.
