Senator Embry Announces Road Plan Projects Through 2018
Senator C.B. Embry announced the road plan projects through fiscal year 2018 for Butler County. “I am excited to play a role in bringing these much-needed improvements to the roadways of Butler County,” said Senator Embry, R-Morgantown. “These projects will ultimately help the infrastructure of the county and better ensure the safety of its citizens.”
Plans for Butler County:
- Funding for the operation of Reed’s Ferry at Logansport.
- Replacing the bridge on KY-340 at mile marker 7.12 over East Prong Indian Camp Creek due to structural deficiencies totaling $260,000 in 2017.
- Upgrading the Natcher Parkway to interstate standards in order to establish “I-565” spur route between Bowling Green and Owensboro, with $10 million dedicated to the project.
- Funding for the operation of the Rochester Ferry by the Butler and Ohio County Ferry Authority.
Overall, nearly $11 million in road plan funds has been dedicated to Butler County for fiscal years 2016-2018.
