Senator C.B. Embry receives the KEA's Friend of Education Award

FRANKFORT, KY (May 27, 2022) - With a past career in education, Senator C.B. Embry has been a voracious supporter of teachers, students, and public education as a whole. Education legislation was his primary focus during his tenure in the Kentucky General Assembly. Each session, he continuously sponsored legislation that furthered the interests of the school system and those who relied on it.

Following this year’s legislative session, Embry was honored by the Kentucky Education Association with the “Friend of Education” award, the organization’s highest honor.

“At the end of the 2022 Session of the Kentucky General Assembly, I was honored to receive the Friend of Education Award from the Kentucky Education Association,” Embry said. “I have and will always be a strong supporter of Kentucky schools and their teachers. The future of the Commonwealth of Kentucky depends on the educational opportunities and training our residents receive.”

The award may be bestowed on an individual, organization, or group whose leadership, acts, or support have significantly benefited public education, education employees, and/or students.

Embry has been a beacon for the education community throughout his career.
