Senator C.B. Embry named Freedom Fighter of the Year

 

CARROLLTON, KY. (January 24, 2019), Senator C.B. Embry (R-Morgantown) was named the 2019 Freedom Fighter of the Year over the weekend at the annual Kentucky Motorcycle Association (KMA) Freedom Fighter Forum. Senator Embry was also a speaker at the two-day event.

 

 The annual Freedom Fighter Forum is a legislative conference that discusses issues facing motorcyclists, the Commonwealth, and the United States. This year’s forum was themed “Fighting for Freedom” and focused on encouraging members to stay informed and to make a difference by being an effective force for change.

 

 “As a member of Transportation Committee, and a sponsor for the updated Motorcycle Safety Training bill, I value the legislative initiatives of the KMA,” Said Senator Embry. “Thank you to the Kentucky Motorcycle Association for their continued dedication to make a difference in the Commonwealth. I am honored to receive their Freedom Fighter of the Year award.”

 

 Senator Embry was among the leaders who spoke to the nearly 100 members in attendance at the forum. Other speakers included United States Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao, Congressman Thomas Massie, and fellow Kentucky Senator Paul Hornback (R-Shelbyville).

 

 The 2019 Freedom Fighter Forum was held on January 18th & 19th at General Butler State Resort Park in Carrollton, Kentucky.

  Senator C.B. Embry, JR (R-Morgantown) represents the 6th District including Butler, Hopkins, Muhlenberg, and Ohio Counties. He is vice chairman of Veterans, Military Affairs, & Public Protection Committee and co-chairman of the Tobacco Settlement Agreement Fund Oversight Committee. He also serves as a member of the Natural Resources and Energy Committee; the Transportation Committee, and the Budget Review Subcommittee on Education.
