Senator C.B. Embry named chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Veterans, Military Affairs, & Public Protection.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (December 11, 2020) – The Senate Majority Caucus has announced its committee assignments for the 2021 General Assembly. Senator C.B. Embry (R-Morgantown) will serve as chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Veterans, Military Affairs, & Public Protection.

“Looking ahead to 2021, I am excited to continue serving the 6th Senate District in committees as both a member and a leader,” Senator Embry said. “These assignments afford me the opportunity to better the lives of Kentuckians and veterans. It is an honor to have been named the new chairman of the Senate Veterans, Military Affairs, & Public Protection Committee.”

The Senate Committee on Committees will officially confirm the new chairmanships upon the start of the 2021 Regular Session.

Note:  Senator C.B. Embry, JR (R-Morgantown) represents the 6th District including Butler, Hopkins, Muhlenberg, and Ohio Counties. He is the chairman of Veterans, Military Affairs, and Public Protection Committee, and co-chairman of the Tobacco Settlement Agreement Fund Oversight Committee. He also serves as a member of the Natural Resources and Energy Committee; the Transportation Committee, and the Budget Review Subcommittee on Education.
