Senator C.B. Embry joins Kentucky Taiwan Legislative Caucus

FRANKFORT, Ky. (November 23, 2021) – Recently, Senator C.B. Embry Jr. accepted an invitation from Senate Co-Chairmen Whitney Westerfield and Senate Minority Caucus Chair Reginald Thomas to become a member of the Kentucky Taiwan Caucus.

The Kentucky Taiwan Caucus is the newest established caucus of the Kentucky General Assembly after being authorized by a memorandum by Senate President Robert Stivers and House Speaker David Osborne at a November 10 meeting of the Legislative Research Commission.

Since the 1980s, Kentucky and Taiwan have enjoyed a strong relationship, both economically and culturally. The Kentucky Taiwan Caucus aims to enhance ties with Taiwan, strengthen relations, and find more opportunities to foster friendship.

“I am honored to join this most worthwhile caucus,” Senator Embry said. “Taiwan is a great ally for our Commonwealth. Our economies are tightly connected. I look forward to this caucus’ efforts to strengthen that bond and bring mutual benefit for Kentuckians and the great people of Taiwan.”
