Rochester Community Cookout
Friday evening June 28, many residents of the Rochester community gathered at the Rochester City Park for a Summer cookout. There were hamburgers, hotdogs, and plenty of condiments, chips, drinks and homemade desserts. Before and after the meal, there was plenty to do for all age groups. There was volleyball, corn hole, etc. After a short rain, in which everyone gathered under the pavilion, there was a great fireworks display to end the evening.
All in all there was a great turnout for lots of food and fun. Thanks to Shannon Boykin-Austin and her husband, who grilled the hamburgers and hot dogs. as well as residents of the community who brought chips, drinks and desserts. Also, thanks to Sue Hammers who created the event. Everyone in attendance had a great time.
