Roaring Engines and Flying Dirt: "Battle Under the Bridge" Thrills Crowds with Unforgettable Pulls
MORGANTOWN, KY — The air thrummed with the roar of engines and the cheers of a packed crowd as the annual "Battle Under the Bridge" tractor and truck pull returned to Morgantown, delivering an evening of high-octane competition and family-friendly fun. With competitors hailing from three different states, the event showcased a vibrant display of power and precision, as every color of tractor—from the classic green of John Deere to the fiery red of International and Case, and the iconic orange of Allis Chalmers—battled for supremacy.

From the moment the first tractor hooked to the sled, a thick plume of black smoke rolled across the track, met with loud cheers from spectators eager to see who would claim the top spot. The night was a constant stream of excitement, with multiple classes offering a wide range of pulling styles and power levels.
The future of the sport was on full display in the spirited Kids' Class, where new, young pullers developed their love for the sport, demonstrating skill and determination far beyond their years. The excitement continued with the popular Powder Puff Division, where the ladies of the sport took to the track, proving to the guys just how it was done with a series of powerful and impressive pulls.

Pullers battled their way through classes that ranged from a 6-mph speed limit, a test of pure torque and control, all the way up to the electrifying 13,000-lb Open Class. This was where the "big boys came to play," with heavily modified machines throwing dirt sky-high and pushing their engines to the absolute limit in a quest for a full pull.

Beyond the track, the atmosphere was a true celebration of community and competition. Attendees enjoyed a variety of delicious options from the on-site food trucks, while great music provided by Chris Burden kept spirits high between pulls. Track crews worked tirelessly and efficiently, ensuring the track remained in perfect condition for each and every competitor.

The "Battle Under the Bridge" proved once again why it's a can't-miss event on the local calendar, bringing together pullers and fans from across the region to celebrate the heart-pounding sport of tractor pulling.
