With a challenging schedule under its belt, Butler County now turns its attention to district competition.

"Our schedule has certainly been demanding, it has helped us identify areas we needed to improve and things we were doing well," said BCHS head coach Calvin Dockery.  "I have already seen improvements to how we approach games and prepare mentally for competition."

Looking ahead to district opponents, Coach Dockery doesn't expect it to be easy.

"The 12th district is always competitive and road games are always full of energy and emotion.  The teams that handle that best usually come out ahead," said Dockery.  "There is always a great atmosphere in district matchups. We look forward to competing for a 12th District championship this year."

Butler County is scheduled to visit Grayson County for a 12th District game on Friday, Jan. 12. Tip-off for the Butler County-Grayson County matchup is set for 7:30 p.m. in Leitchfield. The game will be live on WLBQ 101.5 FM.
