Ribbon Cutting Held For The Antique Shop

On Friday December 14, the Boys & Girls Club held  a ribbon cutting at the  Antique Shop located at 6302 Bowling Green Road.  The event was scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM and many notable figures and politicians were present. An array of home made chocolate, cookies, divinity candy, and eggnog was served.


 Jailer Terry Fugate and his jail crew completed project on property that was donated by J. Marshall Hughes to the Butler County Boys & Girls Club, and state grant money. Following recognition events, Rep. C.B Embry Jr.,  was given the task of cutting the ribbon.





Christine Coleman, one of the organizers of the event stated, "We hope to offer the Antique Shop to the community and organizations. We hope to have some meetings here, and we want everybody to love it as much as we do."
