Registration for the Butler County Youth Baseball – Fall 2016 season is now underway!

Fall Baseball is typically less competitive, more relaxed, with fewer practices and games. The Fall season is especially helpful for players who will be moving up to a new division in the 2017 spring season and for new players planning to play for the first time next spring.

BCYBA is a 100% volunteer organization and relies on the dedication of our families. Our players would not have a program without the efforts of all of our members and sponsors. If anyone is interested in volunteering especially coaches for the younger age groups (T-Ball, Rookie) please contact us. As always we are extremely grateful for your support to BCYBA.

Division’s offered this Fall:

Division: T-Ball
Ages: 4-6
Cost: $40
This division is designed for 4-6 yr old's and is considered highly instructional. Players will hit off a tee so they can focus on their hitting skills - there is NO pitching involved in this division. In addition, there are no "outs" in T-Ball, and scores are not kept. All players play both offensively and defensively. This division is different than the spring Jr. Rookie division were coaches pitched to players and defensive player were awarded outs. If your child is 6 years old you feel their ready then play them up in the rookie division.

Division: Rookie
Ages: 7-8
Cost $40
The Rookie Division is designed primarily for 7-8-year old's and is a machine pitch division. Controlled pitches from a pitching machine creates more action at the plate and in the field. Fear of being hit by a pitched ball is diminished and it makes the game safer and improves the playing confidence and ability of all participants. It also removes the boredom which is often the result of either overpowering or inadequate pitching by throwing only strikes. This division will likely play with Ohio Cnty’s rookie division so their will be some travel to Beaver Dam.

Division: Minor
Ages: 9-10
Cost $40
The Minor Division is for 9-10 year old's and is designed to build on their fundamental skills while beginning to understand game strategy and teamwork. This division will introduce KID PITCH and emphasize a more competitive atmosphere but is still designed for children with basic baseball skills. In the spring we played with Bowling Green’s Cal-Ripken Minor teams. We plan to do the same in the fall and have also been talking with Ohio Cnty as well.

Division: Major
Ages: 11-13
Cost $40
The Major 50/70 Division is designed for 11-13 year old's and is the highest level of competition in our Cal Ripken baseball program. 50/70 refers to 50 feet pitching distance and 70 feet baselines. Standard fields for this age group are typically 46’ pitching distance and 60’ baselines. The extended lengths help players transition from the traditional 46/60 youth field to the 60/90 major league field. In the spring we played with Bowling Green Cal-Ripken Major teams. We plan to do the same in the fall and have also been talking with Ohio Cnty as well.
Note: Warren County-Bowling Green Babe Ruth League (which is different then BG Cal-Ripken) is trying to get some 13-14 age players to sign-up and play. If they have enough sign-up and we have enough 13 yr olds sign-up we will attempt to take a 13 yr old team to play babe ruth and the 11-12 yr olds will play with BG Cal-Ripken. However, They are not real confident they will have the numbers to make that age group work. So we will likely play as 11-13 yr olds with Bowling Green Cal-Ripken and potentially Ohio Cnty.

Division: Babe Ruth
Ages: 14-18
Cost $85

We are trying to field a team to go play in Warren County-Bowling Green Babe Ruth league. All games will be played at Basil Griffin Park in September. Their will be an 8 game season - no tournament - no time limit games. Our new high school coaching staff will coach and manage this team. You must be 14 by May 1st 2003 to play in this division. Also, Participation on this team is based on available space and is not guaranteed. If needed a tryout will be held.
Note: The Warren County players will be drafted into teams and then some surrounding counties are bringing their own teams (Butler, Logan, Simpson, possibly Edmonson and Barren).
