Radio Auction nets $13,637 for Boys & Girls Club

Jason Jones and Bruce White

The Boys & Girls Club of Butler County, Morgantown Bank & Trust, and WLBQ 101.5 teamed up for the 24th year for the Annual Radio Auction on Saturday morning.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the auction was moved to the Boys & Girls Club on South Tyler Street, but the results were the same as in previous years as $13,637 was raised.

Bruce White and Jason Jones hit the airwaves on WLBQ 101.5 FM at 8:00 am, and the phones started ringing.

Many items were on the auction block, including candy, cakes, wreaths, knives, a clock, gift baskets, gift cards, haircuts, and backpacks.

"We want to thank everyone that donated in any way to today's auction, thanks for helping our children," said Amanda White, Director.

The money will be used for the day-to-day operations of the Club.
