Pursuit Ends With Arrest

On November 10th at 8:23 PM, the Morgantown Police Department was dispatched to the 24-mile marker of the William H Natcher Parkway to observe for a black Chevy Pontiac driving recklessly. Callers stated the vehicle was all over the road and had sideswiped a truck.
The officer made contact with the vehicle which continued at a high rate of speed.
A pursuit ensued with speeds reaching 110 MPH. The driver of the vehicle Christopher Shane Hunley age 25 of Warren County, crossed over the median driving into oncoming traffic before he drove behind a guardrail still attempting to escape for approximately 500 feet before hitting a tree. A strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from the vehicle. Christopher was charged with Fleeing Or Evading Police 1st Degree, Operating a Motor Vehicle U/Influence Alc/Drugs/Etc, Wanton Endangerment-1st Degree-Police Officer, and 5 counts Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree. Christopher was lodged in the Butler County Jail.
The Morgantown Police were assisted by the Kentucky State Police,Warren County EMS and Warren County Fire department.
