Provo Parade and Cruise-In

Provo Parade

Saturday October 12, a large contingent gathered at the Provo Community Building for their yearly Cruise-In for Butler County Cancer Assistance sponsored by Final Finish as well as Quick Fuel (a division of Holley), Lost River Power Sports and Beech Bend Raceway and Waterpark and a special thanks to MGM Specialties for the trophies.
Before the cruise-in, there was a first: Provo had their first ever parade.  The parade began in the Monticello Baptist Church parking lot and stretched the length of Provo.  The same cars, trucks, tractors and motorcycles that would later compete for trophies took part in the parade.  There were also several residents riding horses, and a few who walked the route.  The parade route led straight to the Rural Development building. It was a beautiful day for a parade.

The emcee for the event was Spivey Williams, director of Event Radio Productions.  Winners were as follows:

Kenneth Forbes won Best Tractor for his 1955 Super 77 Oliver. Emcee Spivey Williams looks on.
