The UK Cooperative Extension Service will offer a program for New and Beginning Farmers starting October 26, 2021.  The Farming Basics for Success program will be offered in 4, one-hour sessions, delivered virtually via the Zoom teleconference system.  The sessions will be on the following dates:  Oct. 26, Nov. 2, Nov. 9, Nov. 16.  Each session will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will last one hour.  There will be time for questions and interaction after each session.

The topics covered will help beginning farmers get their farming operation off on the right foot.  They will include: available resources, items needed to get started, enterprises to consider, taxation and legal considerations, and basic equipment needs for your farm.  Participants will be provided several resources to help them be successful.  Registration is required and will be done via the zoom platform.  Participants will be able to join the sessions using a mobile device or their computer.
