Price, Rice sign during ceremony

MORGANTOWN — Butler County teammates Ty Price and Lawson Rice are headed to the next level.
Both Price and Rice signed a national letter of intent during a ceremony at the Butler County High School gym on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
Price signed with the University of Tennessee at Martin men's basketball program. UT Martin competes in the Ohio Valley Conference.
As a junior in the 2023-24 boys' high school basketball season, Price averaged 29.0 points, 5.0 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game for the Bears.
Rice signed with the Western Kentucky University men's basketball program. WKU competes in Conference USA.
During his junior campaign (2023-24 boys' high school basketball season), Rice averaged a double-double of 18.0 points and 10.7 rebounds per game for the Bears.
Price and Rice are the first Butler County teammates to sign with NCAA Division 1 men's basketball programs.
