Price leads state in three-point shooting
MORGANTOWN — Midway through the 2024-25 boys' high school basketball regular season, Butler County senior guard Ty Price leads the state in three-point shooting.
Price is shooting 35.4 percent from three-point range. Through 13 games, Price has connected on 62 of 175 three-point field goal attempts. Price is averaging 4.8 made three-point field goals per game.
In addition to leading the state in three-point shooting, Price is among the top scorers and free throw shooters
Currently, Price ranks sixth in the state in scoring. Price is averaging 28.8 points per game. He has scored 375 points.
Price ranks fourth in the state in free throw shooting. Heading into the second full week of January, Price is shooting 89.9 percent from the free throw line. He has connected on 71 of 79 free throw attempts.
Price is the reigning 3rd Region Boys' Basketball Player of the Year. The Butler County senior guard is a candidate for Mr. Basketball. Price has signed with the UT Martin men's basketball program.
