The parents of Lindsey LaRae Porter and Chad Avery Young are very pleased to announce the upcoming marriage of their children.
The couple will be married during a sunset ceremony on the beach of Ocracoke Island September 29, 2012 with family by their side. A wedding reception will be held at the Family Life Center of Cool Springs Church in Morgantown, Kentucky, on October 13, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. The video of their wedding ceremony is set to begin at 4:15, with dinner to follow.
Lindsey is the daughter of Donna Flener of Morgantown and the late Danny Porter. Lindsey is a 2007 graduate of Butler County High School. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, with a Minor in Criminology from Western Kentucky University in 2011. She is employed by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, as an investigator with Child Protective Services in Lexington, Kentucky.
Chad is the son of Brent and Lisa (Graham) Young of Sugar Grove. He is a 2007 graduate of Butler County High School. Chad recently graduated from the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Division of Community Corrections Academy, where he received the Academic Achievement award for the highest GPA of his graduating Recruit Class FY12-03. He is a Corrections Officer for the Lexington-Fayette County Detention Center.
After honeymooning on the Island, the couple will return to their home in Lexington, Kentucky.
