I’ve noticed the pretty fall decorations and displays all over our town. I’ve even done some seasonal decorating at home. Autumn is a beautiful – and colorful – time of year. Many people prefer this time of year to the other seasons.

I asked friends and family: “Whether Autumn is your favorite season or not, what are your favorite things about the fall season?” Their responses are listed below.

·         Cooler weather and foliage change.

·         The color, the crisp air and the smell from tobacco barns.

·         I love the colors and the decorations – the flowers, the pumpkins, etc. I think mums and pansies are my favorite things!

·         Bonfires, apple cider, and being able to wear sweaters!

·         Cool weather to work in and being able to wear jeans and eventually a hoodie 24/7.

·         Cooler weather, and the colors of the turning leaves. It is my favorite season, and I get lots more energy when the weather changes. I get to wear my jeans and sweatshirts!

·         Cool crisp air, beautiful fall colors, hooded sweatshirts, and UK basketball.

·         Watching football.

·         Hayrides, bonfires, and the beautiful colors of the changing leaves.

·         Cooler weather, football games, and bonfires.

·         The leaves changing into all the pretty colors! It’s just so pretty, and the weather. It’s not too hot; but in the beginning of fall, it’s not too cold. It’s my favorite season by far.

·         Yellow light, cooling temperatures, fall colors, active wildlife, and social gatherings.

·         I like summer best, but fall is fun. I like football, candy corn, fall festivals, leaves changing, and Thanksgiving.

·         The beautiful leaves and scenery. The smell of tobacco curing when you’re driving down the highway.

·         Cooler weather!

·         Fall is my favorite season! My favorite things are the cooler temperatures (not too hot, not too cold), bonfires, all things pumpkin, the pretty leaves, mums, caramel apples, getting to eat soup and chili all the time, and Thanksgiving.

·         The cooler weather, the colors and pumpkin carving.

·         Mums, pumpkins, gourds and all the gorgeous colors. Pumpkin spice in my coffee and jeans or leggings with boots.
