Paradise Chapter of TVA Retirees recently installed six benches, six garbage cans, and ten picnic tables at the John Prine Memorial Park in Muhlenberg County.  The chapter received a $9,253  grant for the project.

Retiree Charles Perry reminded the group of the TVA motto: "Built for the People,"

The retiree's group included Gary Southerland, Terry Southerland, Charles Perry, Vernon Perry, Darrel McClellan, Darrell Sisk, Steve Layne, Stanley Fulkerson, George Austin, Donnie Webster, Tom Calvert, and Keith Putnam.  RC Evans joined the group in memory of his brother Hugh Evans, and Shawn Putman participated in memory of his grandfather, Clarence Putnam.

Retirees secured the metal benches, garbage cans, and wooden picnic tables with concrete and screws.   The Muhlenberg County High School FFA assembled the tables. 

The group also worked with the Muhlenberg County Fiscal Court, Judge Mack McGehee, Magistrate Darren Benton, the Public Works Department, and the work crew from the Muhlenberg County Detention Cente
