Over $12K Donated to BCHS Students for Dual Credit Classes

Butler County High School held a ceremony to present Dual Credit Scholarship awards to 33 students on Monday, March 22, at the school auditorium.

United Way donated $6,892, which comes from Butler County donations. Morgantown Bank and Trust partners with United Way. Kay Romans and Angie Hope represented Morgantown Bank & Trust. Jennifer Richardson represented United Way.

Delta Faucet donated $6,000 for funding of SKYCTC Dual Credit Courses. Teresa Montgomery and Neal Smyth represented Delta Faucet.

Dual Credit courses provide high school credit and college credit for the course work completed by the student. Some students take one class, while others opt to take up to five college courses. Several BCHS students leave high school with multiple college credits.

Donna Annis, Director of Instruction, works to secure the funding. High School counselors Sherlyn Bratcher and Hanna Southerland work with students on class selection.
