Wednesday morning at 7:00 AM teams of officers from the ATF, Bowling Green Police, Kentucky State Police, Warren County Sheriff’s Department and Western Kentucky University Police set out to arrest 23 individuals. These 23 individuals are charged with 60 various felony drug trafficking crimes.

The aforementioned charges are a result of undercover investigations conducted over a 6-month period by the Bowling Green – Warren County Drug Task Force.

The Drug Task Force is a partnership of detectives from all local, state and federal agencies investigating drug crimes in Warren County. The ATF, Bowling Green Police, Kentucky State Police, Warren County Sheriff’s Department and Western Kentucky University Police all assign detectives to the Drug Task Force. These detectives work together to combat drugs in the community.

The funding is also a partnership of City and County funds, the Federal Byrne/JAG Grant program from the United States Department of Justice and the Appalachia High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) from the Office of National Drug Control Policy.
