Operation Christmas Child
Every single shoebox filled in Butler County is a Gospel Opportunity. As you fill your box, please pray for the recipient. These gifts are going to children in some of the most heartbreaking settings you can imagine- bombed out ruins in Bosnia, squalid slums in India, an earthquake flattened orphanage in Haiti, a trash dump that is home to the poorest of the poor in Nicaragua, and a hospital ward filled with children dying of aids in South Africa. In places like these you can imagine how happy these children are to receive a gift when this is the first gift they have ever received.
Help your church or organization catch the vision of 100 million shoeboxes being delivered since Franklin Graham began this ministry. Butler County has participated since 1999 and has sent over 6000 boxes. Wouldn’t it be great if one of our boxes caused a child to become a believer?
Pick up dates are Nov. 16-12. Bring your box to Morgantown Community Church, Gasper River Associated Office, First Baptist, or Drake’s Farm Service. Call Debbie Young, Coordinator, or Peggy Drake if you need more information.
