Operation Christmas Child

What is one simple gift could make the difference between despair and hope? Alex, a survivor of the Rwanda genocide, a shoebox Operation Christmas Child helped restore his hope and put him on the path of faith Jesus Christ.
Alex questioned whether God existed when, as a child, he witnessed the murder of his grandmother and uncle. God used a simple shoebox to show him he was loved and not forgotten – and led him to eventually forgive the man who killed his family. Alex said, “Receiving that shoebox was just the beginning of my faith.”
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Operation Christmas Child. Since 1993, more than 100 million children have been touched by the power of a simple gift. Since 1999, Butler County has sent over 7,000 shoeboxes. What if one of our shoeboxes reached Alex?
Find out more at Gasper River Assoc. Building or Peggy Drake at Drake’s Farm Service. Pick up week is November 18th. There are a limited number of shoeboxes, so call for one today.
