Open Mic Night Sold Out!

Well, the tickets were free, but it was another standing room only audience at the Butler County Arts Guild, Friday Night.

Frank Hobb's and one of his students, Don Elmore started the night off with two duets.

Frank's free guitar lessons start back up on October 3rd. The Intermediate Class will begin at 5 PM, Beginners at 6 PM, and in December there will be a recital to showcase their talents.

Stefanie Bedsole, member of the As Yet Unnamed Writers Group and a Community painter on the Extension Office Mural, created an original poem and shared with everyone.

Nancy Woods from Bowling Green showed everyone her talent with four songs on her electric guitar.

Karen Harper Lain, creator of the Writers Group and a published author, read two of her original poems.

Brad Mefford played two songs with his guitar and another on the banjo, at the end of the night he played two more songs on his banjo.

Denise Helton, Guild Secretary and Master of Ceremonies read a very personal poem she created.

Hughie and Gina Wylie performed a couple of "storytelling songs "that made everyone laugh.

Doug Odle played two songs with his guitar.

Andrea Martin and Dennis Kinkade, each shared some of their poetry.

Lilly Ingram, the talented daughter of Michael, surprised everyone with two keyboard tunes from The Munsters.

Ruth Morgan read her essay and then read a chapter from her granddaughter, Ashley's book, which is still a work in progress. .We are all waiting for the next chapter in October, Ashley is a very talented young writer.

James Embry read his self-written poem.

Soon to be famous, Cody Wagoner finished out the night with some of his " published songs "it was a very entertaining event.

Dakota Hayse, Guild Board Member, is the official sound technician and Co- Master of Ceremonies. He makes everyone sound great.

The next event is the award-winning, Michael Ingram's Exhibit of Black and White Photographs of local Butler Countians, October 5th, Saturday from 5 to 7:30 PM.

Butler County Art Guild is located at 115 West Ohio Street.
