North Butler Elementary - Spelling Bee & St. Jude's

North Butler Elementary Principal Josh Belcher and Spelling Bee Winner Briley Webster

From a school-wide spelling bee to supporting St. Jude's, North Butler Elementary is a busy school.  

Briley Webster won the North Butler Spelling Bee.  Blake Bratcher finished in second place and Brayden Phelps was third place.

NBES students, teachers and parents also synergized to raise $850 on Friday, January 27th for the Country Cares for St Jude Kids Radiothon, Beaver 96.7.

The donation was given in the name of North Butler Elementary Students - In Memory of Raven Durbin.

"North Butler community has to be one of the most loving communities you will ever find.  When there is a need the community and school pulls together to do remarkable things," said Principal Josh Belcher.  "We try to instill core values in our kids each and every day.  Our investment in 'The Leader In Me' shows our commitment to help kids show leadership, care and the ability to take action to better the world we live in.  Today, is a testament to that, and we are so proud of our yet again," added Belcher.  

 Students, parents and teachers signed names to the St. Jude wall in honor of individuals who have been affected by cancer
